And So It Begins: An Introduction to uRoutine

uRoutine Goals and AccountabilityuRoutine. The first article. The start of a journey. A new chapter. Full of hope. Full of aspiration. Full of ambitious drive. Full of success.

In many ways, this very first article for us and the opening of uRoutine, represents every single goal, target routine and new year’s resolution ever set. Set with hope and set with fire, determination and motivation. We hope that uRoutine, as it evolves, develops, launches and grows, will help people with just that – goals, targets, resolutions and, ultimately, routines to succeed.

So, what exactly is uRoutine?

uRoutine is a social platform built to help people with routines, goals, structure and targets. Currently available by invitation-only, launching publicly in January 2025, we aim to help people reach their goals through clarity and structure, supported by advanced reporting, integrations, AI and a community of likeminded goal-setters. We can’t share too much more at this stage but watch this space as the year progresses and we share more articles and updates both on uRoutine’s development and also tips, tricks and advice on how to achieve more with your goals and routines.

How can I get involved?

For now, we’re open by invitation-only, to a limited number of testers and community members. For press and media enquiries, please email media@uroutine.com. If you would like to be involved in our development and join our uRoutine beta community then please email info@uroutine.com with a subject-line referencing ‘Beta’ and sharing more about your background, experience and interest in the uRoutine platform (please note: due to our size and the volume of emails, we won’t be able to reply to everyone).

Can I get started already?

The good news is – yes, you absolutely can. No matter how much technology and uRoutine’s platform will help with your routines and goals, you don’t need any form of technology to get started in achieving more. From our research and the time we’ve spent in developing uRoutine, and as it continues to evolve in development, we’ve realised that no matter how good or bad technology is, if someone is motivated to achieve their goals, then they will. The best chance you have in creating a solid routine and structure is by following these top tips-

1. Make your routine and goals achievable. Yes, this sounds simple but the number of people who start their new year and create unachievable targets and goals is sky-high. One of the biggest reasons why people fail is through lack of realism. We often like to think that we can achieve more than we really can. So, take a good, hard look at your goals, resolutions and routine and ask yourself if they are really achievable. Don’t be afraid to “downgrade” them. After all, it’s better to downgrade and achieve than set unachievable goals and fail at the first hurdle.

2. Use the power of accountability. This is a big one. Accountability is where you share your goals and routine with friends, colleagues or a wider network, to help keep you on track. It is the reason why people who are determined to run a marathon often share it with a wider network and fundraise for it too – it puts pressure on you to achieve it if everyone is expecting you to. So, share your aspirations, goals and routine ambitions with people and ask them to hold you to account.

3. Just get started. Seriously, a lot of people come up with an excuse not to start and the truth is, there will always be a reason not to start something. Whether it is creating a routine and waking up at 5am daily, or weekly running 20km, saving money, practicing a new language or spending 90 minutes a day on a new side-hustle, the best thing you can do is start. Don’t put off your goals, hopes and dreams. Do something today to work towards them. Just start.

So, there you have it – three quick but hopefully helpful tips to get started today, without having to wait for uRoutine’s platform and magic to truly help create clarity in your daily routine, goals and structures. That being said, make sure you check back here regularly for lots of exciting, engaging ideas, recommendations and articles on how you can growth-hack your way to success.

Thanks for reading our first article! We hope we’ll look back on this in 12, 18 and 24-months proud of how far we’ve come and we’re certainly going to, as a team, ensure that through our development, we’re held accountable, hitting realistic goals and ultimately, just getting started.
